View Full Version : K4 high level Remus on a K3 - can it be done?

Hi All, I recently got a Remus Revolution for my K3 'S' and it came with the high and low link pipes.

The high level mounting bracket that I assume mounts onto the pillion peg holes and bolts onto the side of the exhaust is miles away from the can (depth wise, the holes look to line up OK.)

(Thumbnail is clickable - hopefully it'll show what I mean and the holes line up perfectly on the peg mount it's just me holding it off!!)

I know the subframe is different on the K3's so just wondering if anyone else has managed to get a K4 high level to fit a K3 or can provide any more high level fitting help? If it needs brackets making etc. thats no problem but thought I'd check I wasn't mounting it wrong first.

It fits fine low-level, looks and sounds great so am not too bothered about getting it sorted ASAP as it also means buying new indicators for the rear.

Thanks for any help!

bump - anyone got any ideas or pics of a K3 high-level mounting?

The simple solution is going to be to make up a new hanger. You can mock one up using some card or plastic (ice cream tub) and make (or have it made) up from your choice of metal sheet. Also, beware of the rotation of the link pipe since very minor adjustments low down can yield surprisingly useful movements at the end of the can. Good luck.

That was what I was thinking of Garry, might do something about it in the winter. Was just checking I wasn't missing a mounting bracket or something before I go ahead and make one!

Yeah, I put a high LeoVince for a K4 on my K3. Made the bracket out of some 60x3mm alu extrusion, it works just fine.
