Yeah - thats one I don't wanna do - dont wanna break something before AR. How do I stop myself from falling off?? Or is that impossible?

u need a nice round boyfriend to jog along side of you for you to bounce off
RELAX - thats the biggest bit of advice. Don't over think it just do it. Remember your shoulder checks on Module 1. Even though its off road you have to imagine you are on the road.
You'll be great x
Thanks hon - heres hoping!!

Wheelies / stoppies will be frowned upon...;)
Other than that, relax - Barring massive balance issues if you can keep your nerves together you'll get on just fine
Or just take one of these:

Good luck!
just try and have fun
Two thing's I remember having to say to myself when learning were: soft arms and head-up, i.e. look were you're going not at the controls.

Throttle makes you go and brake makes you stop, hth
are you going to chav it round on a scootay now? will you be bringing you scootay to AR?
Look where you want to go :) Bike will follow.

When you are putting the bike on the centre stand, press down really really hard with your foot. Your other foot might have to leave the ground!
Don't yank on the front brake while the handlebars are turned.

Put the key in the ignition and press the start button to start the engine
put petrol in the fuel tank
make sure the tyres are rubber

NOPE
Looking at bike options atm. There's a few on the table.
Put the key in the ignition and press the start button to start the engine
put petrol in the fuel tank
make sure the tyres are rubber
You forgot RED LIGHT MEANS STOP
*This is especially important when sitting at said lights with traffic approaching from your left - eh Gavin. :D

Riding a bike is a skill and it takes practice, so don't expect yourself to be perfect right away. Have a lot of fun and listen to your instructor, if they are any good they will have trained a thousand just like you before. If you don't make it through first time, so what? What matters is that you are confident, you enjoy learning how to ride and you look where you are going.
The CBT is there to ensure that you have a safe minimum level of training before you hit the road, so be positive and ride it like you stole it! Finally, remember to use your rear brake for slow control, it makes it so much easier to do. I had an instructor who tried to tell me that you don't use the brakes, but he was just a tight git who did not want to buy brake pads for training bikes!
Good luck XXX

Kerry....this is such good news...lol.
I'd say:-
Relax
Look up and where you want to go...the bike will follow
Relax and...
RELAX....you can't fail your CBT hun, you can just take longer than one day to do it in....doesn't mean you can't do it, just means your instructor doesn't want to push you too quickly, so go with the flow, relax and enjoy it and you'll be fine...and have a massive grin on your face :-)

Been a CBT Instructor for 11 years and this is great advice, just have fun and leave the worrying to the instructor, if he believes your safe enough you'll go out on the road, if he wants you to have more time he'll get you back in. Typically I have found women tend to over-analyse whilst men don't always 'think' enough, so just be aware of that, don't look for perfection in everything you do on the day! HAVE FUN!:)
Hoorah!!!! I got my CBT today - was touch and go as to whether or not I would go out on the road - instructor wanted me to but I felt a little edgy - just confidence I think. However as soon as I was out on the road I felt a lot better and started enjoying it more. Still a few things that I need to keep practising like turning off my indicators and using my front brake and not just the back one. Also slowing down too early at mo and need to remember to change into first gear a lot later. But on the whole I got it and just need to practise now.

Brilliant news. The indicator thing.....everyone does it. There's a lot to remember when you first start riding. Next time you go out you'll remember the indicator every time.

Woo Hoo...that's brilliant news hun! I was paranoid about the indicator thing for a while as I still forget from time to time, but I am flashing other very experienced riders that are doing teh exact same thing almost as much as they have to flash me...lol. :-)
So...what bike you getting???

Hey, well done.
Enjoy riding a 125 for a while, they are great fun. :D
Have to say Kerry was really apprehensive about this, but I think it did her a lot of good and I am so proud of her.
Although she has ridden pillion may times with me, the thought of taking control did scare her quite a lot. She went from knowing virtually nothing to being fully in control and safe without a hitch. Full kudos to the guys at M&D Training.
I tagged along for the day and it really was quite funny to see her "raggin the _uts" out of a 125 in 2nd, 3rd and 4th when the instructor told her to get on the gas more. :D
Well done babe.
