Well I havent posted back yet, so if you are willing to take the chance, I dont mind.

The only difference apart from length as far as I can tell is my original SV one has a permenant metal curve as part of the outer sleeve at the lever end, whereas this one is just straight.

The adjuster thread (engine end) on this cable also is about 4mm shorter than my original.

hmmm lol, just measured mine, sleeve from base of metal curve to end is 83cm even shorter! ill skip i think lol. thanks anyway.

Yeah, this cable is properly long for SV.

I'll send it back for a refund tomorrow.

I had similar issues with throttle cables from suzuki, its why i explicitly state model number when ordering now.

Wont buying any universal bits either, unless i know someone else on here using them.
