I just bought a blade by accident on ebay. Anyone want to buy a ZX7R?

Yes . I didn't think my bid would be anywhere near enough. I am just waiting to see if the guy will make contact and go through with it.

2000 reg, 12500 miles on the clock, looks very tidy.

Always the way, don't think your bid will win, then all of a sudden you've won! :smt046

I'm going to tell my wife this when I 'win' my Sv1000 ;)

Philbut - that year and the year after are the best looking IMO. What colour scheme is it? What was not as tidy about it as you thought from the pictures???

Its the blue red white one (oh, and I think you might be thinking of the injected 2000 model - this is the final carbed one so same as the 1999) , I'll post up a pic when I collect it.

The owner had taken it upon himself to do various "improvements" by painting the foot hanger / fork lowers / calipers with gold paint. He has also put bloody sticker on it - they will be coming straight off. Nothing that can't be sorted with a bit of work.

Yeah, it looks good there. Up close, his handywork with a paintbrush is not so hot! Why do people think they can make a bike look better with a tin of gold paint???? Anyway, a trip to the powder coaters will resolve that. Plastics are all spot on apart from the RH side of the upper fairing which has some paint peeling. I can live with that for the mo.

You're giving up a ZX7R for that? when are you getting your eyes checked? What's wrong with the ZX7R? 8-[

Well after picking it up yesterday and going for a 100 mile test ride to Bath, I can safely say this is the best bike I have ever ridden. If I was going to make a track bike out of one i'd take the 7R - the front end is, IMO better than the Blades. I don't trust the blade as much (maybe the 16 inch front wheel) going into corners. The 7 just feels so planted. BUT the blade is so bloody comfortable for my lanky legs. Bit heavy on the wrists but then the 7 is too. The engine, whilst not as raucus as the 7R is brilliant. Just doesn't sound as good, but then it's just not a Kwak is it.

I am seriously considering ridding it to Portugal in August rather than the ZZR, which I could never have done on the 7R because it just hurt my knees so much (I have knee issues because I used to run competitively an I also cycle a lot).

I need to ride them back to back now. I now understand why people ride litre bikes.
