I've seen a TL1000 engine in a curvy, it was in streetfighters years ago, but I don't think it was an easy job.:)

It cost me £300 to upgrade to an SV1000. You'd be mad to convert for that money.

Lots of work.

You need to mod and weld frame, fitting carbs to SV1000 is hard in itself, you could use firestorm carbs but I bet you would lose power as they're not big enough, you would need megajolt or something to do the spark for you.

Guy who did it before used SV1000 TBs and ECU etc. Still muchos work and I don't think it was ever really "finished".

You can tune the 650 to the point of being a grenade anyway :)

Go you! Mine was still a cracking deal, with less miles, and a tasty set of mods on it. 18 miles in the last two years in total. Couldnt be better for me :)

By time you have told insurance about putting thou motor in 650 I bet it would be same.

Don't do it.

Don't know about the SV1000, but a TL engine can be made to fit, frame needs a fair bit of modding though. Pretty much a money pit.

I did it cos I was bored, it's too expensive and would advise anyone against it.

Don't mention stuff like that on this website. All the "won't somebody think of the children" brigade will be whinging.

There's more to it than undisclosed modifications = not insured too. But it's enough to just say you'd be in the sh*t.
