Hi all
I have just got a tail tidy for my k3 sv650s, but havn't got a clue where to start with fitting it. I have assembled the tail tidy itself and now need to fit it.
I have a haynes manual but can't find any info on removing the rear mudguard/ snow shovel. I am also fitting after market indicators so what is the best way to connect these wires???
any help will be appreciated many thanks..

what tail tidy did you buy?

Does it have instructions. If not have a look on their website as usually Hamicad, EvoTech and R&G all have fitting instructions online :-)

Hopefully this'll help you. This may not be the same fender eliminator but the principle should be there or there about....

Click the fitting instructions PDF. Hope that's helpful.

Fitted mine last week, taking the original lump off is fairly straight forward. Take both seats off then start by unbolting the grab rail & seat unit plastic, removing any panel fasteners as you go. Once the seat unit is off there are 4 bolts on the underside that hold the original unit on and a couple on the top iirc. I had a haynes manual to hand but didn't need it.

For fitting after market indis I personally prefer to remove the originals then cut the connector off leaving enough wire for connecting the new ones. Then to connect them up use bullet connectors or I prefer to solder the wires and heat shrink them to make it neater. The advantage of doing it this way is you can do the wiring off the bike.

thanks for the info guys the "hamicad" link was excellent and pretty much how hoody explains it but with pictures for idiots like me.. as for the new rear indys i have just used scotch lock conectors for now but this may only be temporary. Now i have the front indy's to put on but i can't get these to go tight! is there an adaptor that i need to do this?? they are mini arrow indicators! cheers
