I heard the other day "have you seen the new milkybar advert" thought nothing of it until I saw a billboard last night on the way to football.

I had to do a double take, Im about the least PC person you'll ever meet proberbly second to YC and Bernard Manning but he's brown bread so its just me and the yorkshire monkey. That said even I stopped for a second and thought... is that stickly allowed?

For those who havn't yet seen it I wont spoil the shock, but OMG I think its slightly distasteful, brilliant but distasteful all the same.

I tried to google it spidey, couldnt find a pic myself. Hence instead choosing to say I wouldnt spoil the suprise, really I was just making excuses for not posting a pic up (plus everyone loves a bit of suspence).
Wasnt on a route I use very often either so not much chance of me passing it again anytime soon but alas, if I do I shall get a snap and post it up for ya pal.

Kind of... That ad actually makes it make a bit more sense to me now.
Its a billboard so its just one giant poster ad, consisting of just one bloke (possibly the same one featured at 8-9second marker in that vid).
His 30ft high and wide face smiling away wearing the; blonde wig, glasses and cowboy hat.
It doesnt seem anywhere near as bad now, as that advert tells a bit more of the story but Im sure you can see why I was a little stunned.

This is what I can't abide about this side of political correctness - it's a load of white people complaining about how a black person may feel about something, when the black people are perfectly capable of explaining for themselves if it does indeed offend, which 9 times out of 10 it doesn't. I feel that white people complaining on behalf of black people is pretty damned patronising to the black people they are supposed to be standing up for, as if they need to have us intelligent white folk to do the clever talking for them because they must be thck if they are black (which we all know is absolute balls).

I get a few racist text jokes every day - I don't like half of them because they are blatantly offensive, but the half I do like are usually funny observations or stereotyping jokes and they usually come from a gorgeous ex-girlfriend of mine, who is of black South African descent.

Yeah the video add makes it make sense (may have said that in an earlier post after dave posted the vid link). But you can see my amusement when I only saw the one billboard with no background or awareness of the add campaigne for bringing out the milkybar kid in all of us.

Keith, this ad campainge was directly aimed to offened those who wear blue glasses and cowboy hats. You should write a strongly worded letter to the times. Or better yet the sun - they'll prob send someone round to interview you.
