Got given a shock from a gsxr thou, spoken to the local workshop and they can fit on tuesday (as i don't have the required tools/equipment or expertise to do it myself) but just checking it is suitable before getting it put on and also will i need any special parts to get it to fit?
Thanks in advance for your wisdom as always

Judging by that its 0.5mm shorter than standard pointy shock and the spring rate is the same as the standard pointy shock
Looking at the list here http://forums.sv650.org/showpost.php?p=2011609&postcount=34 it should be ok but all your gaining is whatever adjustment the gixxer shock has over the stock one as they seem to be the same spring rate. I know a lot of people recommend getting a stronger sprung shock as the stock ones a little soft for anyone who's not tiny. Things to check before putting it on is how many miles has the gixxer shock done. Think you might also need a new bolt and nut for the bottom of the shock if you fit it. I've just fitted a zx10 shock on mine and got a lot of good info from other members on here, i'm sure someone has probably fitted a similar shock to yours at some point might be worth searching for other posts to see what they say.

thanks for that guys, anyone know where to get the bottom bolt from or is it just a case of ringing breakers?
Robinsons foundry, wemoto or if you have any local suzuki place give them a ring. If you try searching the forum someones probably listed the part numbers you need for the bolt and nut for a gixer shock
