Anyone live near Stansted?

Hi all,

Hopping over to Holland from Stansted on the 18th August and coming back on the 20th.

Been quoted £24 for parking (car not bike) which doesn't seem to bad although its a 15 minute bus journey to the airport. Or does someone with local knowledge know of anything better?

The on-site Airport parking services at Stansted are pretty good compared to others. And that's not a bad price either. I'm pretty sure it's not a 15-minute ride, rather a max 15-minute wait, but either way its convenient. Otherwise, Stansted Express from Liverpool Street/Tottenham Hale is reliable and takes you right into the airport.
You could try shopping around on some of the discount sites for extra money-off deals (moneysavingexpert.com is always a good place to start).

Stanstead is a pretty decent airport, I've used it many time both for business and personal travel. £24 for parking seems fair enough to me.

Security clearance can be very slow, don't leave things to the last minute to try and go through.

Yep, we'll be checking in within plenty of time. Both only taking one small bag on the plane. Only going for two days.
