View Full Version : A question never ever asked before: Which after-market can?

My restriction soon comes to an end and so I am thinking about getting a new can!

I currently have the stock can and I don't like the sound at all.

I'm after something that really emphasises the bass notes in the lovely range of sounds that a V-Twin makes, but without being antisocially loud!

It's important that it's not too loud because one thing I hate when I'm in the car or on my bike behind another bike is when their can is so loud that it is almost deafening. It's not super-loudness I'm after, it's bass throatiness!

Any recommendations?

I replaced mine with a full Leo Vince system, but was unhappy with the noise so went sideways from stock and replaced the muffler with with one pulled from (I think) a new '02-ish GSX-R 750. The tricky part was fabricating the link pipe. Now the bike breathes properly, has a bit of attitude and sounds like a V-twin instead of a sewing machine, but won't drive me nuts on the highway, alienate the neighbours or draw unwanted attention from police.

+1 for "Fuel" British made and great quality along with their service.
