This is the 'GM IV' t-shirt logo thread.

Any ideas, suggestions etc should be made in here.

Your 'official' design entry should be made here as well.

All final entries should be submitted NO later than Thursday 31st March 2011.

All submissions will then be put into a forum Poll which will run until Saturday 9th April.

And in the spirit of 'GM III' logo thread... Let the battle commence

are you sure thats enough time?

2 weeks after the 30th April is 14th May
then once it's chosen, probably take 2+ weeks for people to get names in.. 28th May
and then 2 +weeks to get paid for, printed, posted takes you to at least the 11th June

Might be a bit tight.

Yep verrrry tight.

mmmmm.. ok dates modded. Not trying to step on your toes guru.

Also Lissa has very generously organised the printing and distribution of the t-shirts in previous years. Lets not assume we can keep dumping this on her. If anyone else has contact for getting the t-shirts done its probably worth getting a price. The ones at the AR were good quality.

I have a vision in my head but absolutely no talent, If someonw wants a stab at it i'll attempt to put it down in some form that they can then utterley redo into something recognisable.

I echo the thoughts on the AR tee shirts... they seemed really good quality with a great selection of not just the colour, but also the type of tee shirt. By the way I can`t see the cartoon midge either

hopefully it's worked now for everyone

As to who prints/provides the tops I think that the stuff Cbay has done for me and others is as good as the stuff that was done for the AR, it is also cheaper (£14.99 per hoodie opposed to £17!) and he donates a quid to the org for every one ordered.

If Cbay felt they could cope with the orders/designs/printing etc I'd vouch for the quality of the work.

+1 also for the quality of Cbays stuff. Got a hoody and t shirt and just had to order a hoody for Mrs A cause she liked mine so much (didn't want her wearing mine)

Evening all!

I'd be happy to sort out the T-shirts, Hoodies or merchandise you decide on having for the event. :-) Maybe I can even put my name forward for attending. :-P

Demand can be met and we like to keep to a high quality. Don't like letting anyone down.

simples, but effective! (but you may wish to check the spelling of Glencoe)

If we were going to Aberdeen or Wales then fine.. but I don't think it fits with Glencoe.

Can we state the rules on plagiarism (or complete free for all lack of) before we start this year? ;-)

Something along the lines of, "If someone 'copies' your design, and it's better than what you did originally, then tough titty" would suffice :p

I'm not fan of the sheep - I've already got a hoody with sheep on it from AR10, dont want my GM one to be similar. Not very keen on the other design either - it doesnt say anything about glencoe or the spirit of the rideout...

Quedos
10-01-11, 05:00 PM
Okay it 2011..

Cbay - I personally would stay away from sheep seeing as it was the AR 10 logo.

Can I be the normal PITA and ask that we get this design sorted - I know Guru you said 31st march but if dates are going to take time to be released it may be one less thing we have to worry about nearer the time esp if dates need to be inserted.
its not good that some of the orginal images are not showing either.

I would pull it back and say designs in by End of Feb and then a poll. just so that everything is tied up quickly for a possible quick turnaround??

(feel free to tell me to Foxtrot Oscar)

Sorry, but I won't be able to sort t shirts out this year. It seems there are a couple of other Org-ers who can do so though, so hopefully it shouldn't be a problem getting them printed for people. :D

A curvy? You've got to be kidding ;)

dizzyblonde
15-01-11, 06:06 PM
That would suit the AR better, seeing as its a deer vs curvy there, and the venue is to be a return to Bambi territory.

I know, I know. The curvy fitted the deer far better than a pointy, I could of course change the deer into a pointy so it's a curvy vrs pointy picture.

LOL, I do remember meeting you for the first time with bits of deer hanging from your bike... and although you can't see the colour, the picture is from a yellow curvy!

I forgot you had a black bike back then. The picture of the deer was taken near glencoe, but maybe it is better for the AR,

with all this talk of designing the tshirts who is going to take the reigns and get them printed?

fenjer
27-03-11, 04:09 PM
well, Guru set up the design thread, that doesnt mean it all lands on his shoulders tho!

I'd offer to help, but I'm stowed under with Uni work and I have a 3,500 essay to write.

I'm not sure if Cbay and Paul the 6th have noticed this thread recently. Perhaps they could put in proposals once the final design is picked suggest prices and time frames for printing and we can take it from there... I would suggest orders and payments go directly to the person printing be it Paul or Cbay.

Once the closing date is reached perhaps the mods will put up a poll with the designs so we can vote.

cbay
27-03-11, 04:24 PM
I have seen it! :-)

Let me know. All depends on the final design but obviously some designs may need a little tweaking to be printable.
