Engine removal sockets- right parts?

bought these the other day, looked through the official suzuki manual & the haynes manual - it looks as if the larger one should fit over the lower left lock nut on the frame and into the lock ring (manual doesnt make it clear to fully remove the BOTH lock nuts!) - cant see what the smaller one does - (upper left lock ring?)

I must be looking at it with the wrong eyes! - can't see they would sell the wrong size.

If anyone has removed the engine i would appreciate some words of wisdom on the whole experience.....

When i put it on the filter i found it was too big because it isn't a genuine filter on the bike (its a champion) & as the tool is coated using black paint the slightest bit of metal to metal use has scratched the inside of it & the ebayer who sold it takes 25% restock fee meaning once i take into account the postage back on top i will lose 50% of the price i paid (live & learn)

Not sure but will keep an eye on this, me and Squirrell too out his SV engine but didn't have these lock nuts. Presuming some other monkey has been there before us and didn't replace them

Yep. That's the right set.

Take the regular nuts off the middle and lower mounting bolts first. Then use the larger socket to remove the lockrings. The smaller socket removes the adjuster bolts that tension the frame against the engine (you'll see these when you take the first nuts off). You don't need to take the adjuster bolts all the way out - just unwind them until they're flush with the frame.

You need a different size tool if you want to take the swingarm out.

For filter removal I use a large screwdriver and hammer - I'm a thug.:)
