Hello boys and girls. ladies and lads. males & females...

I hope you are all enjoying the slishy sloshy lovely weather out there (although the sun has just come out where I am in the lovely sparkling clean land of basildon)

I was wondering.... I want to do a bit of touring on the SV with the girlfriend... I have the Givi E45 top box... I want the Givi E36 panniers but I have twin high rise exhausts... this means that the SW motech rack will not fit my SV (exhausts get in the way).....

I would do throw overs... but they'd melt on my exhausts surely?

Do any of you lovely people know what I would have to do to convert my SV back into a single for when I want to tour with the racks on?

Would you need images for you to help me?

My exhaust goes from 2 hearders into 1 pipe (just like standat) then essentially a slip in pipe goes into a juntion behind the right footpeg which splits everything into 2 again...

Any ideas?

1st off, soft lugguage will not mealt on your cans. Well mine doesnt and thats old cans with old panniers.

2ndly, is it a renegade system? if so, then you will need to get a blanking cap for the left hand side of the collector, or find someone who has a collector you could borrow/buy, orrrr, get a system off ebay, they aint that expnsive and just replace the system. Also handy for MOT's etc.

Its twin Ixill....

What panniers are you using... I saw someone using some soft Givi Panniers that contacted the exhausts and there were holds burning through... My exhausts do come out from the tail a little... so they would pretty much be in contant contact....

Yah about same as my old micron/fuel combo. Oxford humpbacks will probably work fine.
