I'm surprised, they normally last ages? Is it no cheaper to buy a used motor?

I'm not sure where to get them.

its the lead form the starter positive down to the brush is torn..

My own fault i assume but twas loose in the lug and typical ****ty suzuki corroded..

A repair kit is about 25 pounds.. if i knew the one to get lol

is it torn on the contact end or from the brush? Might be possible to resolder it.

On the other hand, I have contacts who deal with a lot of DC motors and I have a feeling one from a wheelchair motor could be similar size. I might be able to find you one, I'll have a wander down on Monday if you haven't located one by then.

The brushs are fairly worn too.. the armature has got a lovely high resistance blue tint lol

SM 14 is the model of the motor.

That would be great thanks!

Was gonna re-solder it but not worth the hassle.. have cripped on a connection now and ran a lead out of the lug hole.. tempory fix but must drive to limerick this evening..

fingers crossed haha
