i have a problom where the throttle sticks and dosnt return properley. twice now i have removed the throttle cables and lubricated them and they were silky smooth before i refitted them?

i had another look today and it seems the bellcranks that open and shut the carbs are stiff and making noise, i sprayed the spring and the end of the bellcrank and all the pivots and linkages that connect the two carbs but it hasnt made a difference.

its driving me mad.

does anyone know how to remove the bellcranks and can they be greased up and put back easiley?

or could it be something else that is at fault?

can anyone help?

Was a bar end weight fouling on the grip on mine. Best to check the really really simple stuff before diving into the world of tamper-proof paint!

Has the bike been dropped?

A friend of mine dropped his bike, bent the bar and ended up with cruise control!

Another eason for sticking throttle is over tensioned cables. Just make sure you have a little free play in both.
