Thought I'd share this as it has helped me tremendously, and cheaply. Maybe some other newbies in the future will find this and help them.

Credit though must go to LPH as she was the one that showed me this on her bike! :p

Short version - find a suitable spacer, stick it in between the lever and the bit where the cable is exposed when you pull the clutch lever in. Tada! With a spacer there you now have a lever that rests closer to the handlebar. Adjust clutch biting point to suit.

Long version:

Basically, I have very small girly hands with short reachign fingers. The standard SV lever's resting position was too far out - meaning I had to "funble" to get a grip on the lever first, before I could pull it in.

Added to the wrist injury and it became quite a bugbear!

Since the AR I have been hunting round the house for something to use, and today I found just the thing in the office - a small plastic spacer. You can also use some plastic hose/tube.

Had to cut it down with a dremel to suit, and also cut a notch for the cable to slight through - the diameter of the hole was too small to get over the nipple end.

This was before I smoothed it all out. All that is left now is to find something suitable to stick it in place with so it doesnt fall off...used some good ol gaffer tape for now to test.

Superglue perhaps?

Anyways - cheap, easy solution, saves spending £££ on adjustable levers but fully functional :)

You could also bend the clutch lever to suit ;)
