when you're away on holiday
Prompted by my wifes ridiculos statement the other day when asked if she wanted to have an extra day away from home, she said we'll I don't mind, but I miss:
1. The power shower, as the one in the cottage was rather feeble
2. The WASHING MACHINE!!!!!!! (there was some logic to this)
So what do you miss when you're away
the sweet sound of neds pizzed at 3 in the morning.
on the whole absoulutely nothing at all.
as a rule i tend to contribute sweet f.a. to a thread, and this one is not different other than no smart assed comment included
1. my own bed
2. the contents of my fridge
3. my stash of magazines (biking and computer mags before you lot jump to conclusions)
4. yep - no shower is as good as one's own
5. my kettle (all the others are too slow to boil)
on the whole absoulutely nothing at all.
Shame you didn't miss the "u" key second time ;-)

This year, a little peace and quiet. Very noisy site in France.
Usually, my own bed, but that's about it.

I have the worlds best mattress and when I am away from home I miss it a lot. I also miss my cats and my computer.
Just recently when the wife and I have been away it has been by our selves and we have missed each other terribly, I seem to sleep so much better when I can roll on to my side and just snuggle into her and have her fragrant hair against my cheek. Two and a half years we have been together and we have only spent three nights apart in all of that time. :D

And I fret way too much about the bikes being left. Seriously, they are probably the first thing I start worrying about when I go anywhere.
Which is why I have live in house sitters....nowt to do with having dogs and cats:-ddyeah yeah suppose I miss them too.:smt045

Nothing really I have spent alot time being away from home, but a good bed is useful still on the mend from injury if I sleep badly it hurts a bit!
Travel light is best, you don't need that much at all.
2. The WASHING MACHINE!!!!!!! (there was some logic to this)
Definitely gotta be what you see americans doing, sitting on it whilst its turned on ;)
Only kind of logic I can think of anyways
Shame you didn't miss the "u" key second time ;-)
You mean the first "u" ;)
And tbh I miss nothing really. Since I got home from my bike trip to Spain I have really been missing the roads and scenery in France though...
And I supposed I have to throw my entertainment room in there too, good times are had with that always

Strangely enough no, you deviant :p
Where we stay there's no washing machine, so she can't wash the bedding or kids cloths.
My sister owns the house and her dogs hair gets everywhere, so it would be nice to give stuff a wash. Plus we wouldn't need to take our own duvet's either.
I did say there was some logic to it :)

Decent cider. Bottled Strongbow in an irish pub really doesn't measure up when my local near work had three different real ciders on most weeks.
