View Full Version : New to SVs
Hey folks, I'm new to biking (just got full license 2 weeks ago) and have bought a SV650 K2 as my first bike. Anybody know of any technical issues/problems with the K2?
Cheers,
Cornish

Congratulations, welcome in and helloooo
Most common problem is the nut that connects the handle bars to the seat
Enjoy, you should have joined a month ago
Cheers for the info folks. Had the bike 2 weeks now - really enjoying it. It's restricted to 33bhp but feels sharp enough for me at the minute. Anyone recommend a screen that looks good on the SV?
Welcome I'm in Newtownards.
Cheers Padmane. I'm from outside Banbridge. Haven't seen many SVs from this neck of the woods yet.

Thanks. Just managed to snap end off my brake lever while attempting to do some maintenance! Anyone know anywhere local carrying spares for SV?

You could try Hillsboro Suzuki shop there or just ask on here everyone is real helpfull, just post in the "stuff wanted" section
Hi Vejer
I started out with a first gen SV650 and loved it.
Have a look out on fleabay and its nice to have a spare lever about ya anyways. There is always the shorty Pazzo HongKong Fuey copy levers on fleabay. Once you use the shortys you wont go back to the long ones, and they dont get broken when the bike falls over.
Talking from experience - the first thing you should put on are crash bobbins cause they will save you a lot of money from fairing repairs, etc if the bike topples over and no matter what you think ... you will drop it .... I know I am that person.
Have fun and b safe
Yvonne
Hi Yvo6,
Thanks for the info - think crash bobbins will be the next purchase!
