can you ride with one arm LOL ?? Sympathy with you mate I brok my shoulder and hated every minute of it.
Hope you heal soon
well spose if i kick it into second and leave it there, i could bumble round but if i need to stop in any hurry, im likely to fall lol,
ouch, howd it happen? if you dont mind me askin, i had metal screwed into my arm, so im now assuming the identity of an android =]

I came off my bike and landed on elbows and knees, broke shoulder and luckily didnt have screws or plates. Nearly had a bone graft but surgeosn decided to leave me to mend a bit longer before having to key hole op my shoulder.
18 mths on and I can use my arm but they failed to give me the physio I needed and ended up with major muscle wastage :( get back probs and muscle pain when riding but I can still ride so that is all that matters.
Then again I was with Stafford hospital and under a foot surgeon ???? so I had no hope really.
Good luck with the 2nd gear ;) try not to fall off tho, stabilisers are good
ouch, ive been to stafford hospital once, when i had a broken hand from a bit of school-yard fun haha
thinking of mounting rollerblade wheels on my elbows so if i do fall off, i can make myself look like a transformer

bad luck, hope you heel soon and get back out there! typical for the driver to just drive off.
it was a perfect case of NMFP (not my feckin problem).
also, cornish, is your chain guard colour coded?? looks nice, same colour as my sv =]

yeah its the same colour. is yours? i like this colour.. a bit different.. :-)
naah mines the crappy black plastic, it is a nice colour, but my lower left fairing is bust and i challenge anyone to find the same colour fairing for sale anywhere other than suzuki, dont fancy spendin £440 on it haha

ouch.. yeah thats a nice price tag.
will let you know if i see one anywhere. so is it a new bike then?
nah its K6 on 55 plate, but had it since november last year, first big bike and all that, still member of the 33bhp club til feb 24th 2011. ive tried it full power but didnt fancy the risk of havin anything happen and then insurance say no money and police say 6 points thankyouplease,
where did you get the chain guard from? was it already coloured or did you get it painted?

ahh yeah dont wanna risk it. the one time you risk it is the one time the police wanna have a chat. same as me.. my first bigger bike. love it, cant find anything wrong with it when riding.
yeah mine came with the chain gaurd already coloured. so cant help you with that one im afraid.
darn it, lol. the only problem ive encountered is noisy cam chains, thats about it really, had a puncture a while back but nothin gone wrong with it,
my old bike was a 1981 yamaha DT125 scarmbler and that was a hilarious bike, i was in an underpass/tunnell in birmingham city centre, i revved the engine to speed up and my exhaust can *original one* flew off my bike! straight pipes on a 125 doesnt make for a very nice noise, let alone in a tunell haha

hahahaha! that is quality! would have loved to hear that roaring away through a tunnel! did you go back to get the exhaust haha.
cant really help punctures though. so having the restrictor kit on it what does it limit you too?
luckily my dad is a lorry driver around the birmingham area, i told him and he said he would try and get it, he went into tunnell with hazards on, stopped, jumped out, grabbed it, then threw it back into the cab and got two stroke oily crud all over the cab haha,
it really only restricts the top end, the torque remains fine, and i can still get into triple figures easily, top was 115 but that was downhill. the limiter kicks in just after peak torque at around 6500rpm and totslly strangles engine at 7500rpm, its just empty and dull after that.
whats top you had out of yours?

119 then.. either chickened out or thought better of it haha..
so you going to be glad to be rid of the restrictor? or not feel any different really. plannion sticking with the bike for awhile? so how bad is your fairing.. completly wrecked or just cracked but still hanging on.
i didnt have any crash bungs on, so the mounting in the centre is bust, its pretty much screwed, the mounting to the radiator is bent in a bit, and its cracked right the way from centre mounting to the front. the only other real damage was the indicator but thats only 18.99 on fleabay.
ive had it to 142 without the restrictor but it didnt feel like it had too much more to give tbh, suppose if i timed my changes just right i could get another 5mph out but no need to worry bout that

142... fair play! didnt know they could go that speed.. i thought max was around 130. but then at 119 it felt like it stil had a lot more to play with.
ahh yeah pretty screwed up then. hopefully wont be to hard to find the parts in the right colour. do any ride outs or long trips anytime? i done 380 miles on sunday, ended up going cardiff just for the hell of it.
haha well my job was being a stock checker, and that was riding all over country, furthest one was to newport near cardiff, some lovely roads out there,
yea if you keep it in the power band rev area, it will do 120mph+ with you sat up normally, duck down and you feel the speed come through, has to be done at about 4am on the way to leicester tho haha
where about in kernow you from then? i used to holiday down on south coast not far from St Austell

ha ha ha
it really has, i got it in november last year at 5300ish miles on it, it now has 13500 ish, but in works defence, i did 5thousand on it before i even got the job in july, i just used it everywhere =]
my dad goes to wales quite alot on his harley and he said there are some good roads but to watch for the bends that just keep going round tighter and tighter, nearly caught him out a few times, he has no chicken strips on his front tyre haha

haha il bare the corners in mind if i end up going anytime.
thats not bad milage though.. stil got many years of life to it!
let me know if you find anywhere that does the right coloured parts you need. would be handy to know if i ever need something.
hahaha i think 3/4am is a reasonable time for an unreasonable act lol but it was terribly fast so god knows how these people on busa's and blades and R1's deal with 170mph+
cornish, i just found the bits =D a guy on this forum no less! hes broken down our colour sv650, not sure what bits he has but im havin the fairings =D his name is Bunks
