As above,I noticed today that brake fluid is leaking from the front right calliper, cant tell were it is coming from and its not allot but has gone on the inside of the tire wall.I have just had braided lines fitted.
Q1-Would it be the lines leaking or should I just try tighten the bolt thingi that goes from the brake line onto the brakes.
Q2-will the fluid destroy my tire if I dont clean it off.

Thanks again for all your help

Yep ,wash down anything fluid's touched.
My main concern would be the leak though. Check the banjo bolts (bolt you described) are tightened correctly. Also look inside the caliper see if there's any seepage round the pistons.

Try everything down leave it some time and comeback to try pinpoint the area of the leak.

Yep, clean it off, although depends what type of fluid. But clean it off and see where it's coming from.

If its leaking from the banjo bolt on the caliper, tighten it if you can.

Did you change the copper washer on the banjo bolt? If not either get a new one or heat it in a flame until it glows cherry red. This re anneal it and make it soft so it'll seal properly.

Yeah will have to clean it all off I going to take it back to the dealer that fitted the lines on tuesday,Its only really on the tire and the outside of the callipers

Yes it may be slippy, wash the tyre with water thoroughly and take it easy for a few miles. Doubt it'll be a problem but just have it in the back of your mind if you're riding it back to the dealers. However make sure the brakes are operating correctly!

Not good enough from a dealers, potentially fatal, if you were to slide because of brake fluid on your tyre

and it's washerS (as it two, one either side of the brakeline fitting), if you only have one, that'll be the leak.

will check the washers tomorrow, gotta use the bike to get to work tomorrow I managed to get home safely enough, its only on the right side so will have to take it easy,am I right in saying it couldnt be the line where it meets the banjo as surely the wouldn't crack or anything, does the banjo have to be torqued maybe thats what they didnt do
