Is this company any good? Good or bad experinces from others who have been insured with them would be useful...

They have come out with the cheapest insurance that fits my requirements, but before I pay them anything it would be good to know first.

I know that BBC is insured with them. IIRC we sorted it out last year as they were dead cheap. i know that she is having all manner of issues with them after the bike went walkabout!

I always see their name about and have seen plenty of adverts for them. They were also cheapest for my renewal that's coming up shortly. I'll hang fire until I see the responses on this thread.

26 years old.

utter con merchants, stole money from my account without permission using old direct debit details.... took best part of three month, 5 letters and dozens of phones calls to get it back

also the amount of times i had to phone up and change details because they'd put it down wrong was ridiculous and they even wanted to charge me 40 quid for the privilege each time

bunch of ******s if you ask me

I think thats probally a no!

How long have you all waited before you could protect your no claims? I have a good quote from Carol Nash but won't protect until 4 years or more.

I insured my 125cc with them for £200ish, went to cancel it 6 months into the policy (to insure my SV) and they said £79 will be returned which i thought fair enough thts about right, not a problem.

cancelled it and only noticed a £10 refund in my bank, not a happy bunny. So I rang up to have a go and THEN they informed me of all these hidden admin fees ect. That ****ed me off because I would have just kept it running for the sake of a tenner had I known.

Terrible reputation. I was with them, but they wouldn't play ball at renewal. they seem to be cheap to hook you then don't want to play afterwards.

I never had any problems but made sure they got formal notice that I was cancelling at the end of the policy. they have a nasty habit of trying to run things perpetually and the banks let them raid your card without your authority etc.

Well insured sorted gone with Carol Nash, just need to check the paper work when it comes. I'm happy it was the deal I could get.

Rubish customer service and the people on the phone seem unable to enter deatails correctly. they are cheap, so I am still with them, but I dread every time I need to make a change, they always F*** it up. Never had to claim yet touch wood.

You seriously can't go wrong with carol nash.

I've been with them for 3 years now, they are more expensive in most cases but you do get UK&EU recovery and breakdown included. You also get the phone answered straight away and are not put on hold for hours...and you can understand the person that answers the phone too which is always nice.

MCE put my first scooter reg in wrong 4 times, each time asking for money because they ****ed it up, how does X sounds like B?!?!?! useless *******s need shooting, im sure they get a bonus everytime they **** something up!

Yup I am happy, they seem to be one of the better ones thought never had to make claim I hope I never do. The recovery service which I have used is good, thought it does seem to vary on the person you actually get coming out to you but they are alot better than an unpleasant experince I had with my 125. I'm going into my third year with them too.

been with MCE for past year but totally unhelpful with renewal price, was about £300 more than else where and all they said was sorry cant help you there. Didnt even bother to try. Never made a claim so dont know what they are like that side.

i was with MCE for my first year riding, started out at £475 tpft for my 125 scrambler *i lived in a not so nice area* and first year with no claims or points and somehow they seemed to increase my renewal to £523. i kindly told them where to file their renewal and went to Devvit, then they didnt like to lower the renewal, so now im with H&R insurance.

I'm with them, they are a broker not an insurance company as such and I've never had an issue with them.
