May sound a bit daft :) but how do I put the SV650 K2 on the front paddock stand? I have recently bought one from eBay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Pair-Front-Rear-Motorbike-Motorcycle-Paddock-Stands-/230422448055?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts.

Pleased with the rear so far as it is necessary (and it came with hooks as standard :D) but I am having difficulty getting the front of the bike up. I cannot work out how the two rubber "poles" support the front forks - any ideas?

Also, with the front and rear fully supported, I understand I can take the wheels off (which I need to, as I need a new front trye after running it down a bit too much ). Can I disassemble the forks for oil changes etc.?

hook one of the rubber prongs underneath and the other prong behind the fork leg, on each side, push down on the stand and the front should come up, the rear of the bike should be on the other paddock stand for ease of use methinks

should be able to get wheels off, but you need to support the engine to get the forks out, unless you get the front stand that supports under the steering stem

One "Pole" goes behind the fork leg, the other one goes on the bottom of the fork leg on each side
If you need to get the front wheel out the plates go below, if not you can have them above.

Edit, beat me to it :)

As mentioned get the rear on a stand first, het a rubber mallet (seriously) as an aid, get the rubber feet in place on both sides and as you lift the front just keep an eye on the rubber feet, if they don't stay in place then as you are lifting tap the back in to place.
