Just saying hello on here.

New to SV's, had a 620SiE monster for a couple of years before i threw it down the road in June.

Funnily enough this was a day after I picked up my SV minitwin bike so I think there was some jealousy going on.

Loved riding the twin and having helped a friend race 400's for a few years, when he switched to minitwins I was on the lookout for one for myself.

Anyway, I've got my ACU licence, my orange bib, I've joined NGRRC and I'm out for the last 3 races of the season.

It's my first outing racing and the first time I rode the bike was Mallory last Friday. We got on well though and I got steadily quicker through the day so its all good so far.

I'll be popping up asking questions about the best tyres, brake pads, gearing and who knows what else so all I ask is that you bear with me and I'll try not to get in anyone's way out there.

Cheers.

Jody.

Good luck Jody you will have bags of fun- have lots of minitwin experience to share if you wish, this forum has everything you need and keep an eye on motoforum too. To answer your query, so far we have found: Pirelli Diablo's (SC1 front, SC2 rear), Performance friction and 15/44 does the trick for us.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys.

Will be at Oulton for the 18th, saying that I'd better get my entry in.

Will be up there for the test in the afternoon on the Friday too. Might as well get as much experience as possible.

I'll be racing under number 28 with an orange and silver fairing if you want to come say hello.

Don't let the name fool you either, I'll be the six foot 2 skinhead.......

Cheers.

Jody.

Dont forget to test tyre pressures hot ie out of the tyre warmers. Set em cold around 30 and they could become too hot on a warm day. Strange thing is our number is also #31 but out with bemsee. Good luck anyway Oulton is a testing circuit with lots of corners, bumps and fun to be had - let us know how you get on!
