Just checking in - bought an SV650 yesterday ready for when I pass my test.
Tests are booked for 8th for Mod 1 and 15th for Mod 2. Pretty nervous about them to be honest.
The bike is a 2001 yellow one, unfaired. Done about 15k miles. Got it cheap as the last lady owner dropped it on her drive so its got a small dent in the tank and scuff near the seat. Otherwise seems to be a good bike.
Anyway, looking forward to getting on a 'proper' bike :p

Hey! Well done on getting a curvy!
Passed my Mod 1 - 2 weeks ago at the second attempt, and mod 2 last week. Best thing my instructor did to help pass mod 1 was found a quiet road and we rode up and down swerving the bike all over the place at ever increasing speeds and practising countersteering. Bit crazy at the time but then having to do the swerve at 50 kph was easier.
If you have a lesson before test ask instructor to have a go!
And good luck:cool:

Curvies are now classified as a 'classic' bike - You can enter them in bike shows and everything :^o

Will see how it goes on the training day tomorrow. To be honest I am more worried about it because I havent practiced any of the 'high speed' stuff yet so dont know what to expect from the swerve. Tomorrow I know I will be spending some time practicing it all on a track so all being well I'll be able to go confidently into the test on weds.
I am looking forward to it, if just a little nervous, as it will be my first time on a bigger bike as well (CB400).

Good luck, my pal (non member) passed just over a month ago and has now done 3000 miles.
Something to aim for!
You got yourself a great bike, welcome to the club.
