Have you noticed how windy it is today ;)
All the kite surfers having a ball today near my gaff, lots of white tops about & almost an onshore breeze from where they launch from.
It'll save them ending up in Holland, as the prevailing wind is normally S Westerly :D

Haha - it helps living near the sea, "back in the day" we just bought kites and bashed ourselves up learning, these days there's lessons and the like to get you started and save you the broken bones / permanent scars / ripped off toenails we endured back then...
We've had bigger days than that, it was gusty today so we had to switch to smaller kites, our best storm wind session we were probably anther 50% on top of those - hopefully this winter the storms will be good and I can get some more shots:cool:

Ours just eats the dog food and yaks it up in the front room:rolleyes::p

Exactly why I gave this up and brought a motorbike!
Great fun if you got a flexible job or offshore rotas or something like that but seriously frustrating waiting for the right wind speeds and direction!

Spent my day sat on the bog, or going to get another bog roll out the fridge.
Had to turn down beer and curry with Briw and Davepreston as not fit to leave the house

I spent the day riding around the Peak District and North Staffs.
I'm not allowed big kites any more. I had a Pete Lynn C-Quad with which I broke my leg!
Mrs Bp won't have it that landing on water is softer than land, but a Flexifoil Super 10 is all I'm allowed!

Buy ten all in the same colour
Hide nine of them and leave the one you want her to see out in a prominent place
Enjoy flying across a field with nothing but sand filled wrist straps

I stack it with a six footer, pulls well.
Best fun was the ten on Chesil beach with a skim-board. I went for miles along the shore on the water and shingle!

Wifey has a Kite buggy, but if I am honest, I can't see the attraction. I prefer rock climbing or Mountain biking for my broken bones, smashed limbs and torn muscles.
On the water is another story though, that looks like a laugh.
Wish I had kept up my Kayaking, miss playing in the boats some days.
Jumped any piers recently???

Ha, not quite
Stick to jumping the poledancers...
;)
Windy planking is fun - apart from the catapults - although that depends on the landing.

Sir, I feel inspired.
They do that up the road from me......the mind is tempted but the body ain't willing.
Well, yesterday (Monday) I went to work as usual, but not before Joseph (who also gets up early) gad wished me a 'happy birthday dad'. Hung around at work until the latter part of the afternoon, came home and opened pressies which were: a fat face sweat shirt, fat face shirt, three small bottles of glenfiddich of various ages, some cash, some more cash, some rathet yummy chocolate, I've also ordered a book from amazon which is yet to be released. We had fish and chips from the chippy as a treat followed by a chocolate birthday cake. I indulged myself in a bottle of Innis and Gunn, followed by a Cornish Mutiny. I had to sleep in tge spare bed as Joseph is a little unwell just now and wakes up in the night and so lijes to get inti 'tge big bed'...my wife us also unwell with a nasty chesty cough so actually it's a bonus sleeping on my own! Otherwise not a lot happened yesterday really. This morning though was interesting...the first job at 0630 was to dispose of a mouse's heart and lungs which had been left in the bathroom by one of our thoughtful cats. Nice.

Wow I wouldnt attempt it in high winds, I still remember the pain being dragged from one end of the beach to the other.
