Well that's an eyesore... cost almost £1.9 million as well.
It also looks like a giant penis as you're driving past on the M62.
After the :toss:ers in manchester spent £1.4m on that B of the Bang thing which duly fell apart and had to be torn down, nothing surprises me!

That is weird but cool. Why is it so stretched? It's like they were just trying to make it look like a bell end with that hair do lol.
Would like to see it in person
Has it got a good view on the hill? It would be cool if you could climb up inside her then look out her eyes at the view

I can save you the bother and tell you that it is really not that exciting. It actually looks a bike better from farther away - it is fairly insipid as sculpture goes.

I would have to see it in person to comment but it does look a bit bland in photo. Give it a few weeks and it will probably get graffitied.

I have to say that I never understood why public "works of art" are commissioned. Who decides that tax/ratepayers money should be spent without purpose. Surely every expenditure should either be on service provision or have a ROI.
That aside, at least Wigan knew what to do with a former colliery site. turn it into a racetrack. Typical of St Helens, simply dreaming (get it) instead of doing.

It is always going to be subjective, but in principle I think it is a 'good thing.' They improve the environment, get people talking, some people visit so may do something for the local economy.

Been there a few times and I like it. It would be better if they removed the trees so you could see the whole head instead of just the top from the M62

Yes, yes it does look like a bell end when you're going past on the motorway. Do you think it was intentional? Funny as owt

are they really trying to claim that they wanted it built like that?
Someone has supplied the wrong dimensions I reckon.. Should be 1:1 heigh to width but it's come out at 3:1 or more!
My heads longer than it is wide
If it wasn't i'd be laying off the pies ;)

1:1 design dimensions & scale you muppet ;)
The head is approximately 50 times life size
Whose head were talking about who knows :p
No getting away from the fact it looks like a giant bell end from the mway though

It'll look better when the starlings have spent a night or two on it.
