Anyone use it?

From the brochure ware I have been telling my client base they should consider it instead of locking thier design calculation within spreadsheets only the author understands. what is currently stopping them is that they don't want to take a leap of faith based on glossies, we the IT dept currently cannot support them. I am about to try downloading an evaluation and seeing how quick I can get to grips with it.

Anyone use it. How do they like it and does it live up to the glossies claims?

It's easy.

I'm with the Mathcad team so I may be a bit biased, however ease of use and a short learning curve are major features that differentiate Mathcad from other others. We design every feature with this in mind and do a pretty good job at it as we've heard from many users over the years.

I recommend you give the trial (http://www.ptc.com/appserver/wcms/forms/index.jsp?im_dbkey=41685&icg_dbkey=482) a whirl. It lets you exercise the full functionality of Mathcad and should give you an idea as to why it it is valuable to engineers as a replacement to or in conjunction with Excel.

Blinking Heck Dave, didn't expect anyone from the Mathcad team to be trawling the org. I only asked because I seemed to remember someone once asking about it round here.

Please tell me you ended up on the org because of a bike related interest, and not from a web trawl.

its a great tool and you dont need to "prove" calcs if your getting them certified like you do with a spreadsheet.

long time since i used it but its great once set up and running with your company templates

I must admit, this forum came up as I looked for mentions of Mathcad on the web. We like to actively look for users (or possible future users in your case) who are searching out help related to Mathcad.

With that said, however, I do have my motorcycle license but no bike to show for it  Perhaps I'll take a look around for a bit :D Take care.
