Ok so a while ago I shipped an multimedia system via ParcelFarce to Badger and it arrived U-shaped and I lost out on some cash and was a bit peeved.
Sadly I forgot Royal Mail = Parcel Farce and went to ship an Air-Rifle (Metal Body MP5) to a buyer a couple weeks ago.
Again it was destroyed in transit and they declined my claim for compensation based on "insufficient packaging".
A little info on the packaging:
Mil-Spec inch thick, double layered water tight gun case with approx 3" of thick egg-shell foam built into each half of the case and a metal body MP5, all bent into a shallow U shape.
Appeal against the decision and describe the packaging.
Parcle Farce: Oh that's the problem, you have to use a cardboard box, it's in the T&C's! sorry buh-bye!
Suffice to say a nice letter to their manager and threat of small claims court if I don't get a staisfactory response very soon.
If they really do push the "insufficient packaging" line I'll take that response + all the paper work etc to small claims and a couple of newspapers as well, they love that sort of stuff =p
*sigh*

Never use Parcelfarce - I use Parcel Monkey now. They collect from you. track and trace, insurured, plus a lot lot cheaper.

City Link are used in my neck of the woods, I don't know if City Link bought them out, as the first time I used the service it was a non descript van.
I ain't no problems since I started using them

I have tried to use these.
Booked a parcel on Weds 16th to be collected today (18th) Guess what, no one turned up! I have tried to track the order and Parcel monkeys track and trace states that "this parcel cannot be ttacked at this time" Brilliant. Submitted a customer support email and it stated that I would be better off contacting the courier direct by simply clicking on the telephone support tab. That link doesn't work. I find the number for nightfreight who were supposed to collect the parcel. They have no record of the job and worse still they have never even heard of Parcel Monkey!!
So far not a good experience and I will never use then again
The guy that is waiting for cans for his SV1000 is gonna be right p!ssed off :smt115

I've never had a problem here, but then Citylink do the collection round here. Maybe its a problem with Nightfreight :(
I hope they haven't been bought out by another company, as they were
great.
Sorry to hear about your problems Dan, I wouldn't have recommed them if they were carp :(
parcelmonkey also fill your email box full of shizz when you sign up. there is not a week goes by that i have not received a marketing email from them. i have only used them once and all was fine but the fact of the marketing puts me off using them again.

I noticed the front page of the website has changed quite a bit since I last used them.
Perhaps they have been bought out.
They even use Parcelfarce now, not a good sign.

No problem. Not blaming anyone:)

Think it just a problem with the whole of the mail/courier industry, trusting someone you don't know to deliver a valuable item for the lowest price :)

I always use Parcel2go and get DHL or Home Network to do the sending.
Never had an issue.
Had issues with ParcelFarce in the past and never use again
parcel2go are a pain in the neck for carriers, Dhl and city link are laughable but would never trust parcel force
