Right, shall we try once more for maybe the last one of the year *touch wood*

I will be at this one, the bike isn't gonna let me down now, she is sorted :-)

So, everyone still OK with meeting at the Plymouth Arms in St. Faggons?

7pm should be ok my end, battery has given up the ghost.
TBH it's not suprising it's been sat for over a year doing very little so may be just a knackered battery that i only just encountered.
bought a new one that should be with me thursday and fitted on firday.
see how all goes then, hopefully nothing else is broke.

No such thing as a good shift (apart from a day off). Based on my calculations, I'll be on an... EARLY! Which means... I'll be going to bed at 8pm. Bleh!

I can't believe a MOD would allow such flagrant disregarding of the rules...

Also, ******** to riding to Soho for anything!

We'll hang on around 19:00 Col, but, not too long after, lol

Hope you guys had a good run in spite of C_A's rain dance, good to see you all.

Had a odd ride back, went to Tesco Western Ave to fill up and the guy in front of me said "Oi butty one of your lights is out!," so I demonstrated with the full beams and he grinned and said, "That's a nice trick." Then another guy asked how you use a pay at the pump!

Survived going past the scene of the accident, had a decent blast (despite the traffic) up the A470 (thanks to a silver Fiesta moving over to let me past). Stopped at some lights, gave an appreciative thumbs up to a guy in a very tuned and growling Proton GTI.

Wasn't a bad ride in all, little blast along the A48 and then having a coffee & a chat in Porthcawl

Ride back was a bit soggy and sorry Col, I think we lost you somewhere in the tail end of Bridgend, hope you made it back OK.

All in all not a bad night :-)

collis
08-10-10, 07:10 AM
I got home fine, was a great ride, nice to actually remember what the full throttle mode of my bike felt like.
You lost me at the big round about in bridgend (near the police station) i got trapped by the lights then hit every one on red after that, after if passes B&Q i didnt bother trying to catch up as i knew i wouldnt by then.

When's the next one or do you all put your bikes into hibernation now?

blue curvy jester
08-10-10, 08:10 AM
seemed to be a lot of panda cars on the a48 last night

metalangel
08-10-10, 08:57 AM
The cops were out in force last night, cop car came blaring past on the A48 towards Tesco, ambulance car came the other way a few minutes later, yet another cop car pulled over some chavs in Caerphilly by the school and as I came inside yet another screamed past my house. Something stirred up the hive.

collis, Bike doesn't go into hibernation so much as just gets used a bit less, I've got ACF-50 on the way and I have my nosepiece in my helmet again with undergloves and jacket liner standing by. When the road is sparkling with frost in the morning though I prefer the car.

collis
08-10-10, 09:05 AM
ACF50 is already on my bike, keeps some of the mud off, drive throught the lanes home, get the dustpan brush out and give a quick brush down, hey presto mud gone (ish).
The frost may not stop me BUT the SNOW/Major Ice will, then the bike stays in the warm and i take the car.

5-0 must have heard that we were out and decided to keep the chavs out of our way... as they didnt follow me out of bridgend when i screamed past at 80 in a 50... trying to catch up with the others. plod was watching the other side of the road at the time though.

You should try full throttle on mine then, only safe on long straights and motorways, lol

The next meet will be 4th November depending on the weather. In the winter we usually meet in a pub and just have a chin wag and some food as anyone falling off because of hazardous conditions would not be nice.

I didn't pass any rozzers on the way home and left the Chavs for dead at the first roundabout, lol
