Well, I have ended up a member of the SV Triumph Brigade. As some of you know I have bought Drew & Lilly's Daytona off them. I have had a little problem with it, which is now (I hope) fixed. Before anybody says anything about the chicken strips... Today is the 1st day I have ridden her properly. Gave her a wash tonight (the bike not Lilly) so thought I would go out & take some pics.

Thanks Drew & Lilly, like I said, I will look after her for you :)

you do know there are less and less people on here that actually have a sv.

I still have Custard & dont want to sell it as I love it to bits, but I want to do some 2 up touring next year & the SV isnt big enough. I have a comfort kit on its way for the Triumph as I cant get used to the riding position. The engine is a peach though & I think that I am going to enjoy it. :)

Lovely bike! What is the difference in riding position?

My SV is a naked, so I sit up & beg. With my portly frame it tends to suit me better, plus I find the Trumper literally a pain in the neck when riding around town

Pushing it around is a revelation. It feels so light, I'm really surprised to be honest. The seat height is quite tall as well, so need to have a faff & see if I can drop it on the shock. I am tippy toes on it which I'm not used to.

Colin, one thing to bare in mind.....I had the rear shock setup as a comprimise between solo riding my 17st fatty belly around and also with a pillion on the back. So the rear is set quite firm.

Glad you likey though....I got used to the riding position in the end, but comfort bars should be a good buy. Like you've said, one thing that suprised me is that for a bike which is quite heavy fully loaded, I found it easier to filter / slow manouver / push than even my pointy.

Edit - as for the engine. It is a peach like you say. As much fun cruising in 6th gear as it is staying in 3rd all the way to the redline!!!! :D

Cheers Drew I will have a bash at the suspension.
I keep thinking that the speedo is wrong, I overtook a car last night on the way home, when I looked down it read 108mph . I need to remember its not an SV :smt026:p:cool:
