Weird coincidences keep happening to me so I think I may write a book on them one day.

Was in Tesco today buying some stuff for the mrs cos she is not well bless her.

Tissues, lemsip, vicks etc.

Went to the self-serve and decided to pay cash, it came to £7.52, had loads of loose change in me pockets, 1p's etc, fed it all in, every last coin I had on me and it came to exactly £7.52. Spooky. (it had been a slow day)

I had a similar experience today. Driving home from filling up the car, I saw a van belonging to some colleagues from out of our region, I knew they were working in my town, as we are off.

We all drive identical silver VW vans, just as I saw the van, Hawkwinds 'Silver machine' was playing on the car stereo. :p

I heard about this bloke who jumped out a 13th floor window of an office block....and he died. Spooky*

The strangest thing about it all was that two of the riders thought that they could get away with wearing white boots

Yeah true, I know all about the conformation bias and how we ignore all the other times when nothing happened and focus in on when it did happen etc.

Was listening to a 5 ish minute song on YouTube on my phone yesterday, trying to get to sleep and not really concentrating when I just thought I bet it's
3 minutes 12 seconds in and sure enough when I looked about 2 seconds later it said 3.14.

The day of my wedding, I awoke to the song 'White Wedding' by Billy Idol playing on my radio/alarm clock.

I took it as a good sign.
Luckily I'd not yet seen the vid or I might have skipped out! LOL

Late this afternoon, wife phones up, she's got a flat tyre.

Unfortunately the policy hadn't started:rolleyes:

Its karma, as she didn't know where or how to drop the spare. She was only in town, could have parked it up and walked home.

Its not like we live in the Bronx ;)

strangest coincidence that ever happened to me. i had just left school and got a letter to go see the careers office. got there and got sat down in an office with a very nice man who then looks down at his paper work and starts by saying.

him 'lance b'
me 'yup thats me'
him 'dob 02/09/1967'
me 'yup'
NI number 'yada yada'
me 'ermmm no'
address 'yada yada'
me 'ermmm nope wrong again'

he then looks up at me and says 'hold on' walks over to the filing cabinet and starts looking threw the folders then says 'well i never there are 2 of you' puts the other file back and takes mine out comes back over sits down and says 'since your here how about a job' and that my friends is how i got my very first job. which was in case you were wondering was shoe repairer (cobbler).

I had a similar thing when I started college way back when (1994.) In the library the computer system only worked off your name, so, you typed it in and it would give you all the books you'd taken out.

First time I used the system it came up with loads of books, which shocked me. So, I inquired with a librarian and she said there was another guy with the same name as me in year 13 and they were his books, if I hit return it would bring up my books... He also happened to be in the library at that time...
Ah, the good old days of no computer security...

Also, in my year there were 3 of us born on the 23rd August of which I was the oldest :-)

Strangely enough there's two of me in my little town.

My surname is not that common, both of us have the same Christian name.

I only found out when I went to the Doctor's and he had the wrong notes, he had the notes of the other me.:p

Travelling ones.

I was in Malaysia (KL) to see an old friend from Canada. She as delayed so I went for a little walk and as I rounded the corner of a building I literally bumped into a guy I worked with in my old job in the UK. What's the chances?

I was sat in a bar in Yokohama and started chatting to a bloke who, it turned out was my best mate's next door neighbour in the UK!

I was in the middle of nowhere in Canada fishing a river (and the Canadians do the middle of no where very well!) and my mate from Yorkshire walks around the corner. We were 5 hours from the nearest town and three miles from the nearest dirt road.

I was Snowboarding on Mount Washington on Vancouver island with my Brother and we stopped for a drink at the furthest cafe from the Lodge. We sat at the only table with a chinese couple and started chatting. It turned out they had just moved into the exact house in Hong Kong that my boss had moved out of two weeks previously!

and the best one.

I met the same person in Japan, New Zealand and Singapore that I was in no way connected to. Just happenstance. Spooky!

Was out with the lads many moons ago, in a land far away, and took a fancy to a dark haired young maiden.

Long story short, even though we'd not seen each other for over 20 yrs and hadn't recognised each other on the night, we'd started school the same day in the same class.

After 6 mths we realised why we hadn't got on at school, and drifted apart again...

I obviously meet lots of people in my job, some have been a bit spooky!

One guy I stopped on the M60 was a lad I went to primary school with in Herefordshire. I haven't seen him since 1982.

Last year, I stopped to help a guy change a tyre whilst out on the bike up around Cltheroe. Yesterday, I gave him a ticket on the M56.

A few years ago, I chased a car that crashed very badly. I never met the passenger - he was arrested by someone else but I hnestly thought they had both died in the crash. Just before Christmas, I locked the passenger from that car up for drink drive!

Also, about six years ago, we went on holiday to Devon. We visited Totnes church where we met an old guy who does the "tour" of the church. Turns out, he used to live next door to the house we lived in in Manchester at the time!

Booked into a hotel this afternoon, was given room 52.

Walked over to the restaurant, sat down at a random table near the tv, turned out to be table 52....

When I was a toddler my mother advertised the silver cros pram that was used to wheel me around in, in the local rag.
A lady came and bought it for her son and his wife, for there newborn daughter. They lived in a village about 10 miles north of the village I lived in.

I am now married to the person that shared the pram all those years ago.

I have a theory that she was attracted to me by my scent, well either that or my big c. . . . . . .
