Get her away from the horror of Television and take her out into the woods. The autumnal colours are magnificent at the moment, and the leaves are just starting to turn where we are. Take the lass out walking in beautiful places or for a gentle ride on the bike. When I was a kid, my Dad used to take us camping and hill walking which I loved. I grew up with a real adventurous spirit and did not really do the television thing. So much so that my other half laughs at me because I do not recognise the TV shows she grew up with. If your lass is a bit older, talk about music with her, listen to the classics with her, try new stuff, but and this is important, keep her away from the mind rot that is the Barbie Franchise... It is evil mind control!

I've now banned Barbie for at least a few days. When I told her, she pulled a face and then said "Whatever" and walked off! She's only 3!
Going to have to have a talk with the preschool she goes to. Attitude is not tolerated in my home.[-X
Still it was funny when she did it. :-)

But you have a little girl, Ste. I think you'll get used to attitude:lol:

Eh? Why is 'attitude' her preschool's fault?
You laughed when she did it. Kids love the attention of a parent laughing at what they do. She's do it, or something very similar, again, to get your attention. Or maybe she was just copying the Barbie style that she's allowed to watch so much of at home.

Due to the fact that we do not allow her to associate with the children on her street because they are alot older and have bad 'attitudes' to other people. She is also restricted on what she is allowed to watch on telly.
I never laughed when she did it or even smiled, well not until she was out of sight.
The only way she could have learned the "whatever" is from the preschool. So i'll be asking them to make sure that she is not allowed to do it there. When she realises she is not allowed to do it anywhere she will hopefully stop it.
Actually talking about this has just reminded me, I have to sort out their computer. New I forgotten something.
