Hey,

Cleaned up my rear caliper, thought I'd clean up the brake pedal pivot. Stripped the foot peg out, cleaned up and gone to put it all back together as I thought it was. The bloody brake pedal has gone tight, double checked and check again on how it was assembled and I've drawn a blank.

There is a washer that sits on top of the foot peg (or at least i think) that is present but as soon as I tighten the bolt up into the footpeg the brake pedal goes tight. Without the washer the brake pedal floats about on the foot peg.....

Have you looked at the fiche to see how it was originally assembled?

Washer should be behind the brake pedal.

If it is too tight with the washer take it out and just apply enough copper grease to keep out the water and keep the pedal moving.

When I put my assembly back together I thought it had two washers and wouldn't budge, but, it only has a very thin on between the foot-plate assembly and the brake pedal. The peg and pedal should be touching (but, apply copper grease here too)

I wouldn't use copper grease - it's not a good lubricant and too grainy for the fibre bush, ordinary multi purpose would be better.

Copper grease is a bit of a misnomer - it's an anti seize compound rather than a lubricant.

Well, my pedal hasn't seized yet :-)
