...Since today I put a deposit on a K6 SV650S :smt047
I didn't mean to, I went to Halfords for some bits to fix my dads fiat and thought I might as-well pop into J&S for a look, doesn't cost anything to look....
So I had a sit on a few bikes, Fazer, Thundercat, CBR, and of course the SV and it was the SV that felt right... Then the salesman started it up and gave it a few revs...

Thanks for the welcomes, Is it wrong that I already have a shopping list forming before Ive even set a collection date for it? Crash bungs and a fender extender so far. It's fair to say I was grinning like a total retard when I left that place, but couldnt help looking at exhausts, im thinking this one might not be appreciated at 4am when im on earlys, maybe somone on here would want a stubby Scorpion?
I had to smile to myself before I even saw this SV, I know Ducati dont have the best reputation for reliability but one in thier showroom was marking its spot nicely with black oil...

I need to get on to Scorpion for a baffle for it, the thing in the end of it looks like an old sprocket with a nut welded on for the bolt from underneath:rolleyes: bodge tastic...

Thanks folks, I will be fine as long as the nerves don't get me and have set myself the task for tomorrow of clearing a space in the garage for it, suppose the CG can live there in the meantime.
I really don't fancy squeezing the SV with all those shiny fareings through that narrow doorway.

WooHoo
The SV has landed, my mate kindly used his trade insurance to ride it home for me and it sounds immense when its given some grief to the limiter. His excuse was "my bandit (1200) revs to 13K and has 4 pots, your twin sounded like it wasn't revving hard at all to me when it limited" he had a big silly grin on his face but likes naked bikes more.
Ah yes, mate riding it home.... My test was cancelled because of standing water and gusty winds so it is now booked for the 11th and i will have to do the new route following part where the examiner gives you a destination (I.e. follow the signs for......) and keeps quiet for 10 mins or so, no big deal, just hoping for better weather so I can get out there on the SV.
