Hello, short term lurker, here and I thought I would say hello since I have had my SV in the garage for a while now and with god-willing and the wind in the right direction I may pass Mod1 next week and can book my mod 2. Hurrah! I'm based in the East mids and I learnt to ride a loooong time ago, but now have to pass my test,
Honestly, you will never see me sneaking up to the airfield to practice until then...here she is, Kitty...she has her backside reduced in size (which is way more than me). And a likkle mod to a Beowulf can is all I am doing on it for the moment (when I say I, I mean DH...I am too clumsy and impatient to do that stuff).

Welcome from one of those Madland nutters! Good luck with the tests.
I'm not too far from you in Mawsley, so if I see you about I'll give you a wave (or maybe given the FB posts I'll be waving at your husband ;-) ). Nice bike BTW.

It would be if it wasn't for the picture inside the profile. That's knocked off at least a good 5 pages or so.
Welcome to the forum jeannette. :)

Hi - thanks for the welcomes and the luck with the tests - I need it! The ER6 I am doing lessons on is not so forgiving at low speed as my SV, I found....we shall see.
@-Ralph-, yes, he's very taken with the bike since I can't ride it yet, his bike is a bit of a handful, so he's loving it!
@speedplay, I'm probably well suited to be a bit of both, born in Lincs (the yellow is almost faded) and live in N'hants!

Oh dear, story to tell about the ER6?
Lots of people having had SV's and moved onto bigger or "better" bikes, end up coming back to the SV. The fact your husband is loving it says a lot about the bike. It is a great little bike and IMO is has just the right amount of power and power delivery for road riding. Looks like you might have a bike share on your hands!

No, I just keep stalling it on the slow riding thingamy...the 500 I was on before just didn't mind less throttle. But that thing just bites me every time now...it will be a fail point on the test I reckon. Thankfully I haven't dropped any of the bikes yet!
Thanks for all your welcomes too :) I'm afraid I can't claim sanity either!
