My name's Monkey. I'm a weekend warrior and had three bikes. For a very short while recently I had two bikes as I've sold one to another organ. Unfortunately I have a terrible case of moneyburningaholeinmypocketdisorder. I also have shinybikesyndrome. I use a saying sometimes: "too much money, not enough sense". There are people who may have too much money and too much sense. I however have too little money and too little sense.

When someone has all of these problems it will ultimately lead to one thing. In my case it was this:

It's a bloody lovely bike. It needs the fork oil changing desperately and possibly a few very minor bits doing but otherwise I think it's a gooden. I'm very surprised at just how soft and manageable this is and also how solid and sharp everything still feels. I may not get out of it what some get from a big bike (because I ride like a wet flannel) but I think I'm going to have lots of fun.

Did I do good?

Both sides but tbh I'm not too fussed over a few war wounds. It's 11 years old and I got it for reasonable money which reflects that. I'm sure I'd get my money back easily enough too.

Too right Mark. It is easy. The speed is VERY deceiving too.

You've done two silly things. Firstly you've bought an IL4 and secondly you've bought a H*nda. Now take it back and get something with one or two less cylinders.

I like it and if the price was right - why not?

I'm really tempted with a Blackbird I've seen atm.

Very funny.

Squid Man is referring to the fact that the ball bag I bought it from left it on reserve. I had a very interesting time pushing the bike across three lanes of traffic at the Hangar Lane gyratory.

A blade and an early r1 are on my to own list, both bikes set benchmarks for others to follow.
Good choice

He he. I can't believe I had a thread title changed! I'm always so careful but didn't want to give it away.

Forks are getting done on Saturday all being well. I know why the chicken strips are so fat now.

Myself and Monkey have started the .org '99 Blade club. It is a very exclusive group, for those of use who are bared from the litre bike club started by Wideboy. I am president apparently.

You have to also own a Triumph or a Kawasaki to join as per Soho Massive rules.

You mean I've got those other bikes for nothing? Bugger. I thought it was one of those unwritten rules.
