Best tell her that we have a few billion years to get of this rock before its destroyed, that has to be more important than seeing the Osmond family appear out of Cowell's gob.

Interesting that SH chooses an alternative to the Big Crunch as his final scenario.

If he could prove the Big Crunch, it would disprove God.

A neat and tidy answer to what happened to cause the Big Bang and what causes the next Big Bang... and the next.

His choice of continued expanion does not address the cause of the big bang at all and as a scientist, That is what would have by juices flowing.

Fantastic program. If only more people thought like this, the world would be a better place. We'd all appreciate how special we, and our planet really is.

+1 The Earth is the most amazing place, it holds wonders we don't even know about yet...however as a species we seem to spend out time destroying the the bio diversity and lush forms of life that surround permate our very existance.

What people fail to think about once its its gone, its gone for ever you can't bring it back. It filled me with anger to see the effects of use C4 and such on a coral reef (this has to stop) to get a cruise ship into the habour (dumb ass Americans at work) which if you have never seen one its life on the Earth at very best its a pleasure and fills me with joy to dive on reefs the colour is vibrante its life!

Just go for walk in a forest hear it and feel it, it is amazing as much as I love science and tech it feels like for many people its taking away what it means to an animal and be at one with nature. Maybe if we reconnect with nature we can see a way foward and stop trying to kill everything in sight. We are a very young and navie as a species I would to think one day it is overcome and we start working to togther.

Yes very interesting but it's like a monsoon here today:( and even I don't want to ride in this. Plus we've run out of milk and I will have to get up and go to Tescos:( What does Professor Hawking have to say about that?

Watched it last night, thought it was great.

Amusing thought about switching from that to X factor, both ends of the scale of intelligence at the push of a button!

Is it on normal tv as a repeat at all? Or will I need to wait for the discovery channel to play it?

I had to tolerate the other end of the intellectual scale, yep X Factor. The three that Cheryl Cole selected - was I mistaken or were two of them so overcome with nerves and emotion that they couldn't even sing?
