Hi guys,

Im planning on crossing the EAR/Madlands border in a couple of weeks to take my son to 'Doctor Who Live' at Birmingham NIA.
I've looked at the map and it looks an absolute nightmare of a place to get to! From home up the A14 it'll take me about an hour to get to the outskirts but I was wondering if you could give me some idea what time i'll need to allow to get there for 6.30pm, im assuming the traffic will be horrendous.

Id really appreciate your help as ive not ventured into Brum before :-)

Thanks, KJ xx

Aston expressway will be the most fluid to get there tbh, it will be busy but most peeps at that time will be going the other way so should be ok, all signposted as well.

Hello welcome ;)

As Phil says A38m. after that you will go over a fly over, into a tunnel. After the first tunnel you will need to exit left and go up the hill. this point http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=A14&daddr=Unknown+road&hl=en&geocode=FR6NHwMdmEfu_w%3BFebIIAMdxMvi_w&mra=me&mrcr=0&mrsp=1,0&sz=18&sll=52.480418,-1.914276&sspn=0.002356,0.004823&ie=UTF8&ll=52.483898,-1.901201&spn=0.000294,0.000603&t=h&z=21&layer=c&cbll=52.483893,-1.901355&panoid=z9M--jhMu2c0kklP4DDp1w&cbp=12,224.91,,0,4.8

Here is a map to the nia car park. from the A14, traffic may carp but that the city for you

As the boys said.

Aston expressway is best done on a bike though:)

I made it from here to bournville in 20 mins once with fatso on the back :)
