very nice mrs-i used to keep ferrets many years ago, worked them almost everyday in the season- i take it yours are pets, been toying with the idea of getting a couple as pets, got enough room for a decent sized run in the garden but need to think about how my k9s will take to them as they've been know to kill furries and not so furries in the past(ever seen a husky chew a hedgehog!!!).

I run a ferret rescue.
Taking a break from it at the moment though.

These are the ones that were left over and are staying

I used to have pet ferrets, they were great like. Wish I could get some more but as I appear to be moving house every six months the guinea pigs are enough for now!

LOL, I've seen photos like that before!

My dog Bob, had a penchant of eating the kitchen skirting boards and door frames, when I tried selling my house. Filling them in and painting them over before a viewing to hide evidence was NOT funny!

What's a ferret rescue?

I take in ferrets that have been abandoned, cruelty cases, people can look after them, bred too many, yada yada yada...

I then neuter, vaccinate and rehome them to people who actually want them :)

Also had pet ferrets as a kid. - Lived in the Kitchen. Wicked ingenious little critters. Used to tag team the cat the horrors.

Edit:

1st one we had was damaged at birth - back legs never worked entirely right - took a while for them to catch up. My brother used to take him to bed when he could get away with it. Animated hot water bottle - or not very animated - that one was always a bit dozy.

yorkie_chris
04-10-10, 08:53 PM
Not sure but they seem to do fine in pitch darkness down rabbit holes

minimorecambe
04-10-10, 08:54 PM
She banged into everything at first (but they all do when they are playing)
She now follows Gooseberry about everywhere and is fine.

Trinity only has 3 legs and manages better than the others!!

Neeja
17-10-10, 11:15 PM
It is indeed :) about 5-6 months old, little, tiny and very wriggly. Cutest thing in the world, especially when he puts on an aggressive display...it's difficult to take it seriously when it's so cute lunging and hissing!

Lol Hoggies are extremely vocal :p

My corn tagged me today! He got his aim wrong when I was feeding him
