Just realised that it is almost that time of year again when the Ice Cream run takes place.

In the past this has normally taken place on the first Saturday of December I believe. Don't want it to clash with the planned Ecosse Christmas Gathering being planned by Bibio.

As last year any who attend are welcome to my home after for a hot drink, sandwiches, possibly soup this year. I will inform the wife nearer the time. :D

Please see the poll for your attendance and prefered dates. With meet details to follow.

I vote the 4th of December...

Looking forward to this - it was one of my first proper rideouts with the org last year.

Need to invest in winter gloves for this year though!!

If I'm not away with work and it's not snowing then I'll be there.

Wendy on the other hand has now decided that she's a fair weather pillion. WIMP!

I'm sure Wendy will change her mind..she was there last year.

The lure of the ice cream will win her over - not to mention the soup and sandwiches at Appollos place!

Not sure a duvet wrapped around the Busa is a good look tho... ;)

Appollo's hospitality is a huge selling point, but might not be enough for Wussy Wendy. She struggled last year. I did as well, that run home was mega cold. Although the brandy and a hot bath made it worthwhile.

Some would say the duvet would enhance the looks of the Busa. I would disagree =;.

Ach - the combats have to come! who else will take photos with questionable shaddows in them!!

Get yourself some heated grips and an extra layer of chill stoppers... You've gotta be there!

Sat 4th is good for me, considering it's not snowing or heavy rain, I'll be there :-)

wee bit of history peeps. This annual pilgramage has been happening since 2002. Buy a newspaper to put on aluminium seats outside janettas stops your bum freezing. Wee cafe up the opposite end of the street near arch sells the best hot chocolate in the world (I know as I was official hot choccie tester for all ecosse rideouts) you get it served in a soup bowl sized mug, with marshmallows, maltezers floating in it and a full size flake to stir it - yum . carry on, interloper now leaving x

I'll be along to this as long as it's not too grim.

Do we literally just make our way over and meet there for an ice cream then?

Depends who's coming and from where.

Last year a bunch of us (me and ramjam I think! lol) met up at mcdonalds at the forth road bridge, then joined others at kinross serivces and then more at Cupar and then on to St Andrews and the same on the way home with drop off points, even though some of us went home the Long way round... *whistles*

I think at this rate I'll be helping Mrs Appollo in the house and missing the run unless sydeny co-operates and starts soon.

Historically, everyone meets at kinross services, ride to st andrews for ice cream. Some chose to meet pre kinross meet to ride there together, ie forth br services for edinburgers, old inns services for weegies etc

Bit of a derail--I can remember meeting at the bridge in Tillicoultry, stopping at Kinross, breaking my glasses and meeting up again in St Andrews.
Can anybody remember the year 2003 or 2004? I was riding a copper SV and was that an icecream run. Jimmy ended up in an ambulace with a broken hip I think

i remember that run. I picked you up (ooh err Mr) in a wee village where you were staying in a B&B. I remember leaving kinross with you behind me, few roundabout and you had vanished. worried about leaving a member of the group behind, decided you knew where st andrews was and would just meet you there. you got there first! Was the Jimmy incident not another rideout? remember us all standing around the ambulance taking pics. then going for a drink in local pub and it was full of strange people (even stranger than us) fun times lol
