On 18th / 19th March 1961 Velocette took the World 24 hour record @ just over 100 mph
Sure in the right place, with the right bike ( SV of course ) and the right riders this could be beaten, So . . .
This record still stands.
Just a thought

For 24 hours ? They'll get your number.
An autobahn would do, but anywhere would be a bit chilly mid-March.

The peages in France are probably doable.

Does it have to be on the road or can it be on a high speed bowl?

I'm sure you could do it on a closed m25 though.

50 years ago was @ Monthlery, so a speed bowl would do - whose paying for that ?
We've got enough .orgers to block off M25 ( or even M62 ) but fear there might be repurcussions.
Peages also costly. ;)

Rockingham? Set it up as a charity fund-raiser and they might give you a break?

Mallory park oval would be the cheapest I bet.

You probably could easily blah this as a charity thing and actually manage to pull it off. 150+ average would be easily done on a proper test facility high speed loop like millbrook.

Peages and Autobahn have speed limits so I guess you are limited to an oval or at the very least a track without slow corners or even an airstrip with a good perimiter road Team of riders and one bike, medical facilities, timing, fueling etc.would take a fair bit of organisation but an interesting concept.
Considering that you would need to stop 24 times approx for fuel the speed would need to be above a 100mph average to maintain 100mph for the actual time run.

I had a Velo reg no SL9006 in 1964 just before they changed the reg numbers over to the A-B suffix and you would be a braver man than me Gungadin to try on a Velo
