Now that does look the business, nice one.

What saddle have you used?

Are you planning on throw over luggage or hard boxes bolted on?

Have fun and enjoy the miles.

Not sure about luggage yet. Really want Givi but it is uber expense.

The saddle is a rework OEM saddle. It was raised an inch and gel pads inserted in it. I can sit on it all day long now.

Looks good.

... and lose the idiot stickers, and chop 7 inches out of the can ;-)

Don't think for one minute that you're ever finished though ;)

Dan, the givi boxes come in 2 types, monolock and monokey, can't remember which is cheapest but I got a brand new 46L one with mount plate for £90 and it's brilliant, can get shed loads of stuff in it.

I personally would always choose hard luggage, it's easy and more robust IMO .

What are those things called on your heel plates? and how much were they?

Just stick on covers from Banditmania. They are heavy duty gel filled. Look really good and super hard wearing.

Piece of cake. You don't even have to remove the fairing. Just use proper connectors.

the satnav looks like my navigo unit from ebuyer (car version).
Where did you get those stickers from?
i'd like to get a set like that for my bike.

Its a Garmin Zumo sat nav, waterproof & bike specific, although car mounts are available.

I've got one, but to be honest its cheaper to buy a car one and buy a waterproof sat nav bag, that mounts on the handlebars. Hein Gerike sell them or one that fits in a tank bag mount.

Garmin or TomTom bike sat navs are really expensive compared to car sat navs

I got a decal maker off ebay to do some. However since then I found CBAY on here does graphics, and he is doing me some more at the moment.

PM him, he can do anything at all.

Correct, they are a total rip off compared to car sat nav's. However being bike specific they have a load of features that are really good. Big touch screen buttons, the fuel guage, anti glare screen, waterproof. Doesn't justify the huge price I paid.

rip the fairings and the rear rack off and it would make a fine base for a street fighter :D

Did you go with the SW Motech panniers in the end?

Would like to see what they look like.

Seeing your bike with all them mods it starting to make me want an SV again.

Hi Dan,
Have you considered taking the forks to Gareth at Reactive Suspension? Mine where sorted by him and they do not clunk.

No I am still undecided at the minute. I am seriously tempted tp push the boat out ang get a full colour coded givi set.

the fuel guage,

They are nowhere near advanced enough to be any use, they need an accelerometer or something, maybe a pulse rate meter... my bike can do anything between 50 and 25 mpg... makes a bit of a difference to the tank range and that's on a nice efficient SV!!

Dave,

It's just been sprayed to match the colour of my bike at the minute. I have a picture of it on my bike before it went to be sprayed.

http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u305/danf1234/SDC11491.jpg

What do you need it for?

Wow this is an old thread revived!

The rack is gone as I sold it to another member of the forum.

It orginated from this bloke on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/suzuki-sv650-sv-650-1000-sv1000-race-seat-cowl-fairing-/190474501606?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item2c592a3de6

However I bought mine second hand for £25 already painted in matt black.

I didn't like it in matt black so I paid £50 to have it colour matched in Suzuki colours to my bike.

It really suits the bike and "beefs" up the ar5e end. I like it a lot.

It also gives me loads of extra room to store bits and pieces for touring.
