Right then. I am looking for a new bike. I had my heart set on a Daytona 675 but after test riding one last week it's a definite no go. It was fine at NSL's and above, but anything below and my wrists and back were killing me. I'm afraid I'd either end up banned or dead
Sooooo. any other suggestions? I think for my size after trying the Daytona that a Supersport 600 is going to be out of the question.
Got to be capable of the daily commute 15 miles mainly motorway with weekend fun.
got £3.5-4k budget.

Thanks

TBH, I'm not surprised you weren't comfortable on the 675, Dan. You are what, 6ft4"? :) As you say, most new style 600 SS may be too small. What about a Series 1 Mille or Tuono?

Yeah 6'5". Tuono is definitely on the list. How would this compare to an SV1000?
Z750 or 1000 could be a possibility too.
TBH i'm in a dilemma what my priorities are in a bike  Every day I have a different choice :smt017

If you want a sports bike, I think you'll need to look for something older. I'm 6ft and I felt cramped on a K6 GSXR...

I fit fine on m6 K5 GSXR 750, so maybe try one of those, or a 954 blade, before they went underseat exhaust, or maybe a Kwak 9R, Bear seems to get on OK with his size wise.

If you are looking for general suggestions, try a test ride on a Tiger :)

Multi purpose really.

15 mile each way commute (mainly motorway) with weekend fun and the occasional track day

Don't think I can afford a 1050 tiger :(

Dan, I don't think you could go far wrong with one of those 955i daytona trumpets that Drew had, get them for good money as well .

I would second the Tuono route , you can get some well loved ones around the 3k mark

How about a Street Triple? Afterall its just a more comfortable version of the 675, albeit without a fairing
