Any rough idea on its real value?

My father-in-law has an immaculate BSA C15 250 road bike - which is worth about £1500...

No idea what this "thing" is worth though!

So ideally not something to bid on after a few beers then at this price?

'Doh.

Who knows - just parting the limited knowledge I have of BSA 250s! For all I know this could be some rare masterpiece lol

It's a true bitsa though (bitsa this, bitsa that), I'd suggest it's worth what you're prepared to pay for it as long as it does what you want. Even a tidy original C11G or C12 isn't a desirable classic, they were dogs when new and haven't improved with age.

If you wanted a cheap plaything to ride in classic parades or something, it's one way to do it, but that's like an unwanted orphan looking for a home TBH. It'll always be a scabby mongrel in a greyhound race though.

Another way to look at it is that a desirable machine won't come for anything like that sort of money.
