Only the one photo at the moment.
Needs a good clean and some tasteful mods, but WOW. She's awesome

2 owners from new. the first a lady who did 3000 miles on her and then chopped her in for a 650 as the 1000 was too much. The second chap only did 500 miles in the last year as he went touring everywhere on his Varadero :smt104

Guy wanted £3.5k for it. Probably about the going rate?
I'm well pleased though not only with the low mileage, but the fact that it was from a dealer near me who remembers the woman who bought it and when she chopped it in, the guy who had it after that.
The only thing that dissapoints me is that it doesn't pop or bang on the overrun

Once you have ridden a Thou' you'll want one, they are just so much fun, especially with loud cans :-)

Nice ride Paiste

Great choice. Looks in great nick .

The SZ's are taking over. There's at least six on here now.

you should get some loud cans on it and whip the baffles out, im sure you'll get a decent pop bang then, and if that fails, just take the cans off all together haha

The last of a dying breed, jap litre twins.:(

Arguably the best one. Like the classy end caps of the newer Scorps.

I might have to try the cans off approach! Its already got scorpion cans with the baffles out :D It's plenty load enough, just no popping and banging. I'm wondering if the pair system has been blanked off?? Apparently this would stop it popping on the overrun

It will indeed - I removed mine.

Look on the front cylinder and see if there is a blanking plate on the cover (Chewys PAIR removal kit has blanking plates)

You don't need those plates TBH... you can block any part of the tubes including the feed from the airbox which is probably easier.

You can indeed - but I was buying some stainless bolts from him so I bought the kit and removed everything to do with it.

Why do you want to stop the popping!? It sounds amazing

I read somewhere about it damaging something in the airbox - in hindsight I probably wouldn't bother again... lol

That's it I WANT it to pop! It's just that it doesn't and I was thinking that the pair system had been blanked off. I shall check over the weekend :)

I have had a vacuum pipe pop off, but, I think I caused that when washing her, other then that the pop does no harm and through Arrow cans it scares the cage drivers >:-)
