Right all you keen organisers out there, eyes right, stomachs in, chests out! You have until midnight on Sunday 31st October 2010 to get your acts together to foolishly offer to organise our wonderful Annual Ride and Get Together for 2011. This is your chance to be the star of the show and everyones favourite/hated organiser (delete as appropriate) for the coming months. It's a wonderful and strange opportunity and a great CV filler.

Your proposal must include location, accomodation suggestions and approximate cost. It would be useful if it included accomodation options, foods availability, dogs welcome, showers and stuff but that's not essential. If your desired location is only available for certain dates please say so now, otherwise there may be massive disappointment when we put the dates to a poll later. The proposed route is not expected, in fact could be discouraged, as it may attract undesirables at the time.

Please feel free to discuss options in here but if the thread goes hugely off track I will delete and slap wrists. :smt008

If you want your proposal to be put forward for a poll open to all members then put a post in this (this one, this isn't a link) thread which starts...

Proposal for AR11: Put forward by .............(organisers)

then add all the details.

I'll trawl the thread on Monday 1st Nov and set up the poll from the offerings.
Stand by Your beds. Go!!

Original proposed site for AR11 in the Dales. Only thing I can add is it has a drying room for wet gear. Haven't been in contact since we went, but I'm sure if theres any interest, then I can call them about dates.

I AM HOWEVER, SLIGHTLY PREOCCUPIED WITH BABY, SO IF THERES ANY VOLUNTEERS FOR HELP, I WOULD BE GRATEFUL.

I would ask that proposals could include details on whether or not dogs are allowed as that can mean the difference in whether some can come or not.

Also, I would agree with Messie that it's best not to publish the route. Save yourselves the headache. :-)

Ed's is on its way I know.
Dizzyblonde - is your proposal happening or not?

Only a few more days to go merry orgers. Only one suggestion is fine by me cos it saves a load of polls and hassle and stuff :)

But I just don't want a load of people moaning in the Spring all because they didn't get their bums in gear and sort out where they wanted to go.

Go for it Ed8)

This really has been at the back of my mind niggling to be done, but I am over occupied with the demands of little Oli. As yet I haven't had anyone come forward with the offer to take the reigns from me, to carry on with the proposal, just one with the offer to help, if they can take over before the weekend, then super duper! But I haven't been online that much either.
Your proposal looks fandabidozi, I'm more than happy with your proposal Ed :-)

Sorry folks, but I have tried, the legwork was done, but I fell over the final hurdle. I would have loved for it to be in the Dales, I'm backing out before I have too much to chew on :(
