i want to be able to film me riding my bike (from helmet camera), and pick up me talking/sound of bike as well.. people do it on youtube..

you can buy a camera rack for all bikes that fit on the tank, normally use the bolts that hold the filler cap onto the tank i think.

and the camera attaches with via the tripod screw on the bottom.

look on ebay should find one easy

As for the speaking, the only thing i can think is to get a headset/intercom system (starcom or something like that) and i would expect you could attach that to the audio in on the camera.

But i am sure someone will come along and say that you can get a helmet cam that incorporates all of that in one device!

Get a proper bike camera kit with a dvr, bullet camera and mic, instead of putting the mic under your seat to record the exhaust note stick it in your lid, try www.dogcamsport.co.uk (http://www.dogcamsport.co.uk)

The hard part is recording the bike and yourself , you may need to add a line splitter and have the 2 mics going into the same recording source but ideally you want to be able to edit the gain on either Mic as when you reach higher revs the windblast on the outside Mic will probably overcome the volume level of the in-helmet commentary . I am sure one of the older Autocoms had a line out facility which was quite good for recording commentary ?

Q: Can I record audio with these kits?
A: Yes, you will get one of our new mics with gain control. So no matter how loud your bike is you should be able to adjust your microphone to get the best sound possible from your bullet cameras. It's always a good idea to keep the mic out of the way of wind as this can often give poor sound quality at high speed.
Q: Can I connect these systems to my intercom?
A: If your intercom has an audio output (most do but check with your manufacturers) then yes you can. This will give you excellent audio results. We have tested our bullet camera digital recorders with the StarCom digital product and it works great. We can even supply a cable for you to connect to this system. You will need additional cabling to do this so please consult with your intercom provider or give us a call if they try to sell you a cheap camera system!

Best bike vids I ever saw with good vision angle and commentary were a guy who used a cheap point and shoot set to video mode and taped behind his visor! Can't have been very comfortable or left him with good vis, but they did look great.

I got an MD80 copy quite cheap and it does the job, but has time and date stamp on permanently which is annoying.
