Is there any way of doing it without it taking for fffffffing ever? I did a search for similar posts, but nothing there.
I have 8 clips, all well under a minute long and it's saying each one will take over 90 minutes to load.

Upload speeds are a lot slower than download speeds on an ADSL line, hence it will take a lot longer to upload the video than download it
Nothing you can do to prevent it unfortunately, apart from minimising the file sizes

Photobucket takes ages, Facebook does it as quick as a flash.

Affirmative-atory. Unless you make them public, but think even then people need a FB account.

Depends how you set the security though. With the face book photo albums you get the option to set who can see your images, if you set it to "Everyone or everybody" then anybody can view them, even those without a facebook account ( I think )
Flickr might be your other option, but as Captain Awesome says, upload speeds are much slower than download so it still might take ages. I'd watch what facebook does to your videos as well, it might compress the hell out of them which means the video quality ends up being sh*te once you have uploaded it.

yup, but I only uploaded to FB last night, for the first time, and found it much quicker than Photobucket, which I've used before. I don't usually do vids TBH.

Right, I have come to the conclusion (with the help of Dan) that it is just our connection. Being out in the sticks, we have awful connection. It's always there, but pretty weak so yes...uploads take forever! So long in fact that when I leave the computer to upload a short video (96meg or whatever it is) about 15 seconds...I come back from the pub to find that the upload has frozen...again...and all that time is wasted.
I don't want to give up though! :-(

Put them on a CD/USB Stick and go to a large town/city and use an internet Cafe then.
Or if you know someone who works in a big shiny office with a big phat internet pipe then get them to do it for you.
