Im sat in the railway station reading Ride magazine. The journo Simon Toyne has gone to Brno to watch the motogp. Leaving to ride 12 hours home, "Sheets of water are falling from the grey sky, turning roads into raging rivers, my tyres are as good as bald, Ive no waterproofs, and only a dark visor"

I think it's called journalistic license.

If true, shows he is a complete <male hen> - who embarks on 2500+ mile trip expecting only sunshine?

Going to Brno with one dark visor, no waterproofs and tyres that wont make the trip, is called journalistic license? OK, maybe th tyres actualy had 4mm left on them, and the weather may be exaggerated, but for the visor andthe waterproofs, he's a numpty.

this journo seems to be of the end of the male penis variety, that is described as the instrument in the tower of many churches <LARGE> male chicken

Or journalistic license in that he is actually in a rangey and has a hotel booked...

Is that the article where he got pulled by the Czech rozzers and his bike impounded whilst he was taken to the cash point?

After meeting a number of journalists I trust very little of what I read in magazines these days, but enjoy them for their "entertainment" value, think of them as Top Gear rather than a peer reviewed scientific journal.

But if he went in textiles on a BMW boxer tourer via motorways and got a bit damp through his gore tex with a minor sat nav error ending up 50m from his hotel it would be dull reading.

Balderdash ..... he was on a press junket , swimming in a bath of Jaegermeister and then flown home wearing fluffy white dressing gowns on a private jet surrounded by other journos all saying "how can we `hero` this one up lads ?"
