Greetings!

I've had a look on the maps and webnet info which hasn't proved conclusive.

Can I park my bike in the Chinatown car park on the weekendy for free?

I assume Westminster bike parking charges in the area (Soho and Covent Garden) apply on Saturdays and probly sundays too (the bike parking site map says free for them- somehow, I don't believe that!)

Tis the end of the month for me, see, (payday on Monday) and I cannae afford to park for a course I'm doing there otherwise....

Muchas Gracias,

Donal

Bit more searching and looks like it is still free.

Guess I'll find out in the morning for sure!

Looks like it's free alright!

Otherwise Westminster parking is either £1 or £1.50 all day. Bit of a ballache to set up an account though on the phone.

Yeah. I'm just hoping there'll be spaces at around 8:30.

I've actually got the account- but as I've got -£40 until Monday, I don't want to try that- not sure if they take it on the spot or do what the petrol stations do (my end of month lifesaver!)- take the payment anyway.

I have heard stories of them not enforcing the "No cars in the bike spaces" at that carpark

Go online tomorrow, pay for a days parking and park on Soho Square or wherever is close to where you will be.

Once paid, you can park in any bike bay in Westminster all day, including moving from one to another.

Cheers Soulkiss- do you know if the payment goes through anyway?

Yep -declined. Will have to take my chances in the morning. I guess if there's cars parked there, I can have a 'discussion' with an attendant (if present) about dealing with it...

Sorted. Just realised I had the old card details on my account. I can now park anywhere in Westminster tomorrow without fear of being accosted or suchlike.

Cheers for your help peeps!
